Dental X-rays (also called
radiographs) are an important diagnostic tool and an integral part
of regular dental maintenance. X-rays reveal conditions that are
not evident from visual examination alone, such as hidden decay, abscesses,
tumors, and cysts. They not only help determine the condition of
teeth and bones, but of supporting devices as well such as
fillings, crowns, implants, and bridges. This in turn aids in
determining the best course of treatment for a patient.
